Combining the old with the new, this handgun is custom from the ground up. This pistol was built on a medium frame, new model Ruger .357 magnum, flat top. We chambered the pistol in .38-.40-10mm Magnum. The pistol is happy on the range or hunting whitetails in the brush.
Why a custom Handgun?
Most folks that find us are interested in performance orientated, custom, single action pistols. We represent a small minority in the handgun crowd. This is not bad because we know what real performance is in a hand gun. And, while respecting others' views, we are comfortable in our social circles with our thumb busters.
Hunters, target shooters, and collectors that enjoy shooting single action pistols could happily live out their entire life shooting stock, single action pistols. They would not be handicapped in either style or the integrity of the offerings. Today, more than ever, we have an array of double action as well as single action pistols in various configurations. So, why do some hand-gunners require a custom, single action pistol? It lies in the need for a handgun that will be more accurate, look better and perform better with an upgrade in caliber.
The single action pistol can be upgraded in a lot of ways to enhance its performance. These enhancements are in the action, grip frame, triggers, hammers, custom barrels, sights and different caliber offerings. Also, there is the cosmetic appeal of owning a custom handgun that was built to your specifications.
The appeal of a custom handgun, for me anyway, has always been in the area of a viable hunting or defence firearm that only requires a belt and holster to carry it, leaving my hands free for other chores. A custom handgun is not a long range weapon, but one must realize that game is usually shot at under 100 yards. As far as I'm concerned, one cannot find a better friend to take along on a hunt or just a trip to the range.
